Criticism
As of November 2007, ACDSee has no Unicode support. For example filenames containing Asian characters may not display correctly. However, it does have multi-byte support. When user has proper locale setting with his/her OS, characters will display correctly.
ACDSee has faced criticism because Section 2.7 of its EULA ("Use Restrictions"), forbids the use of the software to display pornography, among other things.[
